Trilok Gurtu has been nominated for Deutscher Jazzpreis

World music pioneer Trilok Gurtu has been nominated for Deutscher Jazzpreis in the category “Drums/Percussion international” and we are so here for it! Markus Stockhausen has also been nominated in the category “Blechblasinstrumente” (brass instruments), as we´ve already announced.

Deutscher Jazzpreis is a new international music prize from Germany that will be awarded for the first time on June 3rd, 2021. National as well as international exceptionally creative and innovative achievements are honoured and awarded in 31 categories.
