Arild Andersen, the bass player with the warm tone who can truly be called a legend of European jazz is on tour with a strong line-up: Marius Neset (sax), Helge Lien (piano) and Håkon Mjåset Johansen (drums) – the band is on tour in Germany, Czech Republic and Austria from 24.03. to 08.04. French saxophonist Matthieu Bordenave’s first album on ECM under his own name introduces a new project with German pianist Florian Weber and Swiss bassist Patrice Moret. This summer, the group can be seen in Berlin at the Jazzdor festiva among other events. Click here for tour dates.

Florian Weber is “a truly groundbreaking pianist”. The critics’ praise is a reflection of a successful career that has seen Weber establish himself as a force to be reckoned with on the global scene. Alba is the first album by the duo of trumpeter Markus Stockhausen (trumpet, flugelhorn) and pianist Florian Weber – INSIDE OUT. Although both have approached the idiom of jazz from different directions, the musicians are united by a deep interest in the process of creative expression, the intense search, inside and outside, for echoes, reverberations, insights.
